Truck routes, Hunts Point and Sandy in New York City

Serving New York County, Kings County, Queens County, Bronx County, Richmond County

New York’s diesel goes to job sites, food distribution and standby generators. The New York Building Congress forecasts $74 billion in city construction spending for 2025. Those sites run excavators, lifts, light towers and temporary power that need fuel where they stand. Hauling equipment to a station isn’t an option in Midtown traffic.

The Hunts Point Food Distribution Center in the Bronx moves about 4.5 billion pounds of food a year. That means a constant stream of tractors, reefer trailers and yard equipment on the peninsula.

Routing matters as much as distance. Under Section 4-13 of the city’s Traffic Rules, a truck with a delivery in the borough uses Local Truck Routes. It may leave them only for the most direct path to its stop. Settle the site address, gate or curb access and fill point before the truck rolls.

What Sandy taught New York about fuel

Superstorm Sandy hit in October 2012. At Bellevue Hospital, National Guard members carried fuel up to the rooftop generator by hand. On November 9, 2012, the city began odd-even gas rationing with only about 25% of its stations open. A generator is only as good as the fuel in its tank. Top off and test before hurricane season, and line up a supplier who can reach the site after the storm.

Mobile fueling or bulk delivery: which fits your New York site?

Three delivery formats. We’ll quote whichever fits your volume, site access and cost target.

Wet-Hose Fueling
Mobile fleet fueling
Overnight or day shift, fuel direct to each tank
A driver pulls into your yard after hours, fuels every truck or piece of equipment directly, logs each fill, and clears out before your crews arrive. No staff required on site.
Best for: Trucking fleets, delivery yards, rental fleets and service vehicles.
Tank Wagon Delivery
On-site tank fills
20 – 4,400 gallons per drop · same-day or scheduled
A smaller delivery truck fills your day tank, jobsite bulk tank or generator. The flexible option when volume varies or site access is tight.
Best for: Construction sites, generator refills, day tanks and smaller bulk storage.
Transport Load
Bulk transport delivery
Full transport loads to 7,500+ gallons · scheduled
Tractor-trailer delivery straight into large bulk storage. The lowest cost per gallon for high-volume buyers.
Best for: Data centers, large industrial sites, agriculture and rail yards.

New York fuel delivery questions, answered

Can a fuel truck reach my site if it isn't on a truck route?
Yes. Under Section 4-13 of the NYC Traffic Rules, trucks with a delivery in the borough use Local Truck Routes and may leave the network for the shortest direct path to the destination. Give us the exact address and access point when you order so the driver can plan the route.
Do you fuel backup generators in Manhattan high-rises and hospitals?
Yes. We deliver diesel for standby generators and day tanks, and we can schedule recurring top-offs before storm season. Tell us where the fill point is and how the fuel reaches the generator so we can plan the drop.
Do you deliver to Hunts Point and the Staten Island marine terminals?
Yes. We deliver diesel, DEF and reefer fuel to food distribution, trucking and terminal operators across the five boroughs, including the Bronx and Staten Island. Dispatch runs 24/7/365.
Can I get renewable diesel for a New York fleet?
Yes. We deliver R99 renewable diesel as a drop-in replacement for petroleum diesel. R99 isn't available at every terminal; where it can't be pulled locally it ships by rail or barge, so ask us about lead time.
Do you deliver fuel 24/7 in New York?
Yes. FuelGo dispatch runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including nights, weekends and holidays. Call 800-720-4546 any time, or request a quote online and a dispatcher replies within the hour.
What fuels can you deliver in New York?
Clear on-road diesel (ULSD #2), red-dyed off-road diesel, gasoline, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and R99 renewable diesel. Most customers combine two or more on the same delivery.
Do you deliver diesel to generators in New York?
Yes. Dyed diesel for standby and prime generators, on a refill schedule or as an emergency run during an outage. Generator fueling →
Do you offer mobile fleet fueling in New York?

Can you deliver bulk diesel to our tanks in New York?

How much fuel can you deliver at once?
Tank wagon deliveries run from 20 to 4,400 gallons per drop, and full transport loads to 7,500 gallons or more for large bulk tanks. Tell us your tank size and usage and we’ll recommend the right format.
How much is diesel tax in New York?
On-road (clear) diesel in New York carries $0.5085 per gallon in combined federal and state taxes and fees, and off-road (dyed) diesel $0.0963 per gallon, as of October 5, 2026. Sales and local taxes are extra where they apply. Using dyed diesel on public roads is illegal. See diesel taxes by state →
Do you offer emergency fuel delivery in New York?
Yes. If a generator is running low or a site is about to run dry, call 800-720-4546 and a dispatcher will confirm what we can get to you and when.
Can you set up recurring scheduled deliveries?
Yes. Most customers start with a one-time delivery and move to a recurring schedule, so tanks, generators and fleets are topped up before they run low, without anyone having to call it in.
Do you rent fuel tanks?
Yes. We rent diesel and gasoline tanks from 119 to 17,000 gallons, with pumps, meters and hose fitted, and refills on a schedule. See our fuel tank rental page for sizes.
Do you have smaller trucks for tight sites?
Yes. Smaller delivery trucks reach tight urban sites, parking structures and jobsites where a full-size tanker can’t fit.
What payment options do you accept?
Credit cards, ACH and checks. Credit terms are available for qualifying commercial accounts. Ask your dispatcher for details.
