Alliance freight, an F-35 plant and I-20 work in Fort Worth

Serving Tarrant County

Fort Worth’s biggest fuel loads sit at opposite ends of the city. In the far north, AllianceTexas is a 27,000-acre development built around Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport. FedEx runs its Southwest Regional Sort Hub there. Amazon Air operates a regional air hub on the same field. BNSF’s Alliance intermodal facility connects roughly 1 million shipments a year. Dray tractors park in yards between turns, and that’s where on-site fueling saves the most time.

On the west side, Lockheed Martin builds the F-35 at Air Force Plant 4. The plant sits next to Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth. Together they mean standby generators, ground support equipment and contractor fleets that can’t run dry.

The I-20 rebuild and the next freeze

TxDOT’s Southeast Connector is rebuilding about 16 miles of I-20 and I-820. It’s the largest transportation investment in the history of TxDOT’s Fort Worth district. Completion is estimated in 2028. Until then, excavators, pavers and generators burn dyed diesel inside active work zones. A fuel run off site costs real hours.

February 2021 showed what a North Texas freeze does. DFW stayed at or below freezing for 139 consecutive hours. Freezing drizzle caused a pileup of more than 100 cars on I-35W in Fort Worth. Untreated fuel gels in that cold, and iced roads make a late delivery impossible. Read how to prevent diesel gelling before the first hard freeze.

Mobile fueling or bulk delivery: which fits your Fort Worth site?

Three delivery formats. We’ll quote whichever fits your volume, site access and cost target.

Wet-Hose Fueling
Mobile fleet fueling
Overnight or day shift, fuel direct to each tank
A driver pulls into your yard after hours, fuels every truck or piece of equipment directly, logs each fill, and clears out before your crews arrive. No staff required on site.
Best for: Trucking fleets, delivery yards, rental fleets and service vehicles.
Tank Wagon Delivery
On-site tank fills
20 – 4,400 gallons per drop · same-day or scheduled
A smaller delivery truck fills your day tank, jobsite bulk tank or generator. The flexible option when volume varies or site access is tight.
Best for: Construction sites, generator refills, day tanks and smaller bulk storage.
Transport Load
Bulk transport delivery
Full transport loads to 7,500+ gallons · scheduled
Tractor-trailer delivery straight into large bulk storage. The lowest cost per gallon for high-volume buyers.
Best for: Data centers, large industrial sites, agriculture and rail yards.

Fort Worth fuel delivery questions, answered

Can you fuel trucks and yard equipment at AllianceTexas?
Yes. Mobile fleet fueling (wet-hosing) works well for the sort hubs, distribution centers and drayage yards around Alliance: we fuel parked trucks, yard tractors and reefers on site, usually outside your operating window, so drivers start the shift full. DEF can be delivered on the same visit.
Do you deliver dyed diesel to Southeast Connector and other highway work zones?
Yes. We deliver dyed off-road diesel to construction equipment, light towers and site tanks. On a corridor job like the I-20/I-820 rebuild, tell dispatch which staging area or gate to use and we'll work to your traffic-control plan.
How do I protect diesel from a Fort Worth freeze like February 2021?
Order winterized fuel and top off tanks before the front arrives, not after roads ice over. During Uri, DFW stayed at or below freezing for 139 straight hours. Full tanks also reduce condensation. Our guide to preventing diesel gelling covers additives and cloud points.
Do you deliver fuel 24/7 in Fort Worth?
Yes. FuelGo dispatch runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including nights, weekends and holidays. Call 800-720-4546 any time, or request a quote online and a dispatcher replies within the hour.
What fuels can you deliver in Fort Worth?
Clear on-road diesel (ULSD #2), red-dyed off-road diesel, gasoline, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and R99 renewable diesel. Most customers combine two or more on the same delivery.
Do you deliver diesel to generators in Fort Worth?
Yes. Dyed diesel for standby and prime generators, on a refill schedule or as an emergency run during an outage. Generator fueling →
Do you offer mobile fleet fueling in Fort Worth?
Yes. We wet-hose trucks and equipment in your yard, usually overnight, and log every gallon by unit. Mobile fleet fueling →
Can you deliver bulk diesel to our tanks in Fort Worth?
Yes. Anything from 20 gallons to a 7,500-gallon transport load, into above-ground, underground or portable tanks. Bulk delivery →
How much fuel can you deliver at once?
Tank wagon deliveries run from 20 to 4,400 gallons per drop, and full transport loads to 7,500 gallons or more for large bulk tanks. Tell us your tank size and usage and we’ll recommend the right format.
How much is diesel tax in Texas?
On-road (clear) diesel in Texas carries $0.4497 per gallon in combined federal and state taxes and fees, and off-road (dyed) diesel $0.0053 per gallon, as of October 5, 2026. Sales and local taxes are extra where they apply. Using dyed diesel on public roads is illegal. See diesel taxes by state →
Do you offer emergency fuel delivery in Fort Worth?
Yes. If a generator is running low or a site is about to run dry, call 800-720-4546 and a dispatcher will confirm what we can get to you and when.
Can you set up recurring scheduled deliveries?
Yes. Most customers start with a one-time delivery and move to a recurring schedule, so tanks, generators and fleets are topped up before they run low, without anyone having to call it in.
Do you rent fuel tanks?
Yes. We rent diesel and gasoline tanks from 119 to 17,000 gallons, with pumps, meters and hose fitted, and refills on a schedule. See our fuel tank rental page for sizes.
Do you have smaller trucks for tight sites?
Yes. Smaller delivery trucks reach tight urban sites, parking structures and jobsites where a full-size tanker can’t fit.
What payment options do you accept?
Credit cards, ACH and checks. Credit terms are available for qualifying commercial accounts. Ask your dispatcher for details.
